Project Specifications

Proposal: Southpoint 1

Concrete Dock Repair (Remove and Replace)

  1. We have identified 1 areas requiring concrete repair comprising of 450 square feet.
  2. We will saw cut the perimeter and excavate to a depth of 8 inches. We will remove the existing concrete and haul all spoils off site. We will compact the sub-base, form, dowel when applicable, place 8 inches of 4000 psi concrete with fiber reinforcement, and finish to match existing. We will apply cure and seal upon completion.  Project is bid for 1 trip(s).
  3. Quote is based on thickness of concrete set out above.  Any additional thickness, may require a change order.
  4. Saw Cutting:  When saw cutting concrete, inevitably there is a paste material that will form on the pavement. Unfortunately, this is hard to control and is difficult to avoid. The liquid dries but takes a few months to disappear. In the event that this is not allowed, there may be additional costs if paste is required to be removed.
  5. We will backfill with existing dirt. The job site will be cleared of all related construction debris.
  6. Barricading: All areas will be barricaded during and after the project.  It is the owners responsibility to make sure all barricades remain effective after our crews leave the jobsite.

You are hereby authorized to proceed with the work as identified in this contract. By signing and returning this contract, you are authorized to proceed with the work as stated.

We understand that if any additional work is required different than stated in the this proposal/contract it must be in a new contract or added to this contract.

Please see all attachments for special conditions that may pertain to aspects of this project.

Acceptance

We agree to pay the total sum or balance in full upon completion of this project.


I am authorized to approve and sign this project as described in this proposal as well as identified below with our payment terms and options.   Payment by credit card will be accepted.  A 3% Processing Fee will be added to the account for all payments utilizing a credit card.   Progress invoices will be issued and payment for same expected, as the various stages of the scope of work are completed.

Howard Companies Bid Qualifications - Concrete

  1. This proposal is valid for fifteen days.
  2. Due to existing conditions, 100% drainage cannot be guaranteed.
  3. Howard Companies is not responsible for any spalling, pitting, or other damage of the concrete due to the application of salt or de-icing chemicals.
  4. We are not responsible for inadequate subgrade upon removal of concrete.
  5. Quote is based on scope and quantities set out above.  Any additional work, if required, will be quoted upon request.
  6. Provision for access to entire work area to be arranged by property manager/owner.
  7. Property manager/owner shall be responsible for removing any vehicles or other obstructions in the area of the work.  There will be an additional charge if the area is not cleared and results in a delay in the completion of our work.
  8. All workmanship and materials are guaranteed to meet the project requirements for a period of one year.
  9. Quote based on one mobilization.  Additional mobilizations at additional charge.
  10. Quote based on work being performed on weekdays.
  11. Howard companies will contact Indiana Underground Services to locate existing utilities.  Any non-member utilities, (site lighting, irrigation, security systems, etc.) are the responsibility of the owner to have located.  We are not responsible for damage to underground utilities undetected, incorrectly located, unforeseen, or unmarked, including site lighting, irrigation, security systems, etc.
  12. Although our concrete finishers are skilled at closely matching new concrete finished textures, it is understood that the color of new concrete will not match the existing concrete.
  13. Our craftsmen work very hard to ensure that when cracks occur in concrete, the cracks occur in joints installed in the concrete and therefore typically not noticeable.  However, we cannot guarantee all cracks will occur at these locations.  Some random cracking may occur in spite of our best efforts.  These cracks may occur in new concrete, days, weeks, or months after installation.
  14. Not responsible for inadequate, unsuitable, or inadequately compacted subgrade materials.
  15. Concrete will require 7 days of cure time.
  16. Pictures and videos of the project and premises may be taken for Howard Companies to verify work performed as well as promotional purposes.
  17. Quote based on work being performed during the 2023 season.
  18. **The current volatility in the materials markets prevents us from guaranteeing both 2023 completion and the above price.  Should the previously mentioned conditions prevent us from completing the above work in 2023, Howard Companies will reprice the contract to reflect the underlying cost changes to us.  Certain vendors of Howard Companies are not extending firm pricing, which creates the inability to provide firm pricing to you the customer,  should the scopes not be completed in 2023.**
